Chelan Success!

Off we went! After some prodding, we decided to take our first road trip with VPK. We drove 3.5 hours to Lake Chelan in Eastern Washington. We stayed @ this awesome condo called the Lakehouse with Uncle Joey and my parents. The boys loved all the special attention!

VPK slept magnificently in Chelan! They were pulling 7-8 hour stretches at best! PK slept with Grandma and Grandpa in their room and Vanny slept in our room. The boys cuddled with Uncle Joe in the morning and loved watching the activity outside on the veranda! We also started solids this trip-crazy right? The boys love their rice cereal and this maybe responsible for their longer naps and better nights! Either way, this is another fantastic success!

My mom bought these Kelty packs to carry the boys, and boy are they easier on the back than the bjorns! My mom and I have been on multiple hour+ hikes with VPK and they love it! In Chelan, the men had the honor=)

We went on one big hike that had amazing views of the valley! The weather was simply perfect. PK loves his new shades. In fact, soon after we put them on, he drifts off to sleep! He loves the dark! Van holds his nicey-nice and is so observant!



VPK went swimming in the pool for the first time! It was great! Van saw daddy playing pool basketball and thought it was the funniest thing ever! We heard some belly-laughs from him like never before!

All in all, this trip went better than I expected! The drive home was a little more fussy, but Ron and I sang "Jesus loves me" and played lullaby CD's that helped some! Thank you G&G for such a fabulous trip! We all certainly enjoyed it! Ron and I even had a dinner alone!! Life is Tremendous!
