It has been a crazy long year, and since we've hit the one year mark it has flown by! This last month we have had colds that turned into ear infections, then pink-eye. I never thought we'd be in the ER so much-especially the first year! Ron says to "get ready", based on his knack for accidents as a kid. Sufficed to say, I am trying to catch up on our family blogging.
The boys had a beautiful day for their birthday party. Ron's mom Diane was here from AZ. My mom made them individual banana cakes, which they loved. Unfortunately, PK had a double ear infection(we found out the next day), and Vanny a cold.
Had to put a picture of our daily after-breakfast activity, shower/pool time. VPK absolutely love the water, and all I have to say is "let's go swim-swim", and they both start walking back to the shower. Ron wonders how long he'll have to share his shower!
Some updates on PK. He is walking. Yes, he is a cautious walker, but he now moves around pretty well! He is so in love with "books". He says "book" all the time. He can sit and look thru his books for 30 minutes sometimes. He is really trying to talk and now says night-night, ball, book, momma, dada, hot, and all done. He is so tickelish and such a giggler. PK has 4 molars and his 8 front teeth already. Both boys can do "high-five" and wave. @ his 1 year checkup, he was 31.5 inches tall(90th %) and his weight was 23.2lb(53rd%).
Vanny is our crazy man. He wanders around looking for things to get into. He can pretty much run and is an excellent walker. He is a communicator, though often with man-sounds. He can say hot, momma, and dada. He will mimic just about anything. When Van smiles, his whole face just shines-he is such a ham! He loves sticking out his tongue @ you-thanks uncle joey! He has 7 teeth. Vanny's stats @ his checkup were 30 3/4 inches tall(75th%), and 22lb 14oz(50th%). @ one year, Ron was 32inches and 25lbs, and I was 29 inches and 19 lbs.
Also, Congrats to Daddy for running his fastest marathon yet in Eugene, OR last weekend! We are so proud!!
