4 Months(18 weeks) Old!

Well, the boys are growing like crazy! We had their 4 month check-up this week and here are their stats:

Van-15lb 8oz-24.5 inches 60% for both
PK-16lb 3oz-25.5 inches 75% for both

They both had a reaction to their vaccinations-fever and general fussiness. Poor little men! Vanny has been trying out his voice and has developed a finely tuned "squawk/screech" that he drags out as long as possible! It was cute at first, but now... He is definitely teething, and if anything remotely passes by his face, he grabs it and pulls it in his mouth. Van is excellent with his hands, his grip is so strong he has nearly broke one of grandma's toys=)Van had his first real laugh tonight, such a charmer!
PK has really begun to show us his personality. He belly-laughs when you tickle him and smiles frequently showing off his cute little dimple. He is rather selective, though. With those who he doesn't know well, he only offers his customary "PK scowl". PK has the strongest abs and is always doing crunches. He desperately wants to stand and has mastered rolling over and on his side. He is our little cuddler, while Van-boy wants to wiggle!
Both boys have really taken great interest in Ron. When they hear his voice, they pause or turn their heads in his direction. It's been great that he has been home so much this summer!
For all you out there praying, please pray for Van's kidney. I meet with the surgeon tomorrow. A glimmer of hope, though, is that the #1 surgeon in the country for pediatric nephrology happens to be in Puyallup. He is really hard to see, but we have an appointment 8/31 with him for a 2nd opinion. We have heard amazing things about this doc, so we are thankful for this option.
