We braved an outing that united the entire Alford5-that means Mookie-and it went amazingly well! Friends Eric & Ashley were visiting and we went for a walk and spent time chatting @ Starbucks. The Mook & the Boys were really content. Mookie treats the boys like they are her brothers, just hanging out and enjoying the people-watching! We hope to get a fence soon, so Mook can return home. The road is just too dangerous and she is too oblivious=)
VPK have begun to sleep @ night in larger increments-thank the Lord! Now, it's just getting them to do it @ the same time! Progress is progress.
Ron is crazy busy with his book "kids" selling in NY, CA, & WA. Thanks again to all those who have helped my mom and I while he is away-most recently: Amy Magley, Pat Magley, Tia Hixson(stayed 2 nights!), Aunt Faith, Wendy Schaafsma, Jen Morales, Rachel Burklund, and of course Debbie Porter-our weekly wonder=)
The boys are fantastic. They are both smiling, laughing, and talking quite a bit! Van is wild-constantly dancing with arms and legs going crazy. He sometimes hits himself in the eye, hopefully he has more control soon! PK is so cuddly and vocal! He goes from cooing so sweetly to erupting with a raucous "man grunt" in the next breath! We joke that we can never take our boys to a wedding or funeral, since they are so loud!
